For the Top Group !!!!!! We have One Week left for the 2023-2024 deer season. One weekend soon after the deer season ends, I would like to get as many guys and gals that are members of the top gang to come one weekend, we’re planning on having a small game hunt, I have seen rabbits and plenty of squirrels plus Jim Sanders jumped a covey of quail a few weeks ago.. so we should have some fun beating the brush and wood lots! We’re planning on doing a Brunswick stew with the small game we harvest but we will bring chicken in case we get skunked… Also we need to look at the road/roads situation, so we can formulate a plan to see what we can do to improve the access getting up and down the roads that leave the top for retrieving deer, etc.. The roads were left in terrible shape by the loggers, they were rutted out and logs were left lying across them. We are going to bring up some heavy equipment this spring to fix the roads and we will need as many people as we can get then also! we will discuss the date and plans during the small game hunt which will most likely be in early February. Let us know when and what days/dates you can attend the small game hunt . as soon as possible as we will plan the hunt when the most can attend.
